Lisa Pedrini
Lisa Pedrini is the Manager for Social Responsibility and Diversity with the Vancouver School District, a position she has held since 1998. Some of her responsibilities include safe and caring schools, supporting and encouraging Social Emotional Learning (including the MindUP Program), and providing training and coordination for other prevention programs.
A highlight of her work has been the partnership with Drs Kimberly Schonert-Reichl and Shelley Hymel at UBC and co-presenting about implementation of social responsibility in Vancouver schools to the Graduate School of Education at Harvard.
Her thirty year career in education also includes education consulting and program writing, working with the BC Teachers Federation professional development and gender equity programs and classroom teaching. Lisa has a Masters degree in leadership and training, is mom to two young women, and loves to travel and garden with her husband.
