HIS HOLINESS THE XIV DALAI LAMA

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, is the co-founder of the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education. He has challenged British Columbians to advance heart-mind learning in children and youth.  In 1989 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

As CEO of the YWCA Metro Vancouver, Janet Austin has overall responsibility for one of BC’s largest and most diversified non-profit organizations, offering services for 60,000 people annually in more than 30 locations throughout Metro Vancouver.

Shane Koyczan is an internationally recognized author and spoken word artist. He has emerged as a creator of poetry that dares to belong to the people and speak directly to them in their own voice.

Dr. Kimberly Schonert-Reichl is an Applied Developmental Psychologist and a Professor in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology and Special Education at the University of British Columbia.

Peter Senge is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Sustainability at the MIT Sloan School of Management. The Journal of Business Strategy named Senge one of the 24 people who has had the greatest influence on business strategy over the last 100 years.
