CTV to air Vancouver Peace Summit documentary December 31

DECEMBER 30, 2009 - Do you want to see out 2009 in a special and inspirational way? On December 31, watch CTV's 4 Paths to Peace, a documentary chronicling the arrival of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Vancouver, for the Vancouver Peace Summit, as well as the personal journeys of four members of the summit’s audience, who try to take what they learn from the summit’s esteemed speakers and put it into action in their own lives.

Organized by the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education, the summit was a three-day event held in September that brought five Nobel Laureates and many more world-renowned thinkers and leaders in social transformation to Vancouver to talk about creating a more compassionate, peaceful world.

"People have called them a 'spiritual dream team'," said DLC founding director Victor Chan when listing the many inspirational speakers, including Eckhart Tolle, Maria Shriver, Matthieu Ricard and more. “We put together something that a lot of people are saying is quite historic and an important moment in the development of civil society in Vancouver, in Canada and beyond.”
