Heart-Mind Youth Dialogue

Submissions for this form are closed.

We are delighted to announce that the Dalai Lama is returning to BC, and that he will be visiting a Canadian school or the first time. On October 21, he will spend the morning at John Oliver Secondary School in Vancouver in dialogue with secondary students who represent a cross-section of school districts in BC. In this live-streamed event, the young people will share the stage with the Dalai Lama and will share a personal story of a transformative time in their life when their hearts were educated in school.

Student Preparation and Resources

  1. Confirm that the Reflective Journal is printed for each participant.  It is designed to copy back-to-back on 8.5 x 11 paper. It can be printed in black and white or colour, your choice.

  2. This Reflective Journal can be used in preparing students for the event (pages 1-8), for note taking and reflecting during the event; and for follow-up activities related to the “Be the Village Challenge” that will be presented to all students at the end of the live-streamed program.

  3. For more material and resources visit the Heart-Mind Learning Project's Resource Page.
