Don't miss our last Heart-Mind Well-Being Workshop until Fall 2018!

Join us for our Heart-Mind Well-Being Workshop on June 12th.

This workshop is our foundational workshop where we share current research, best practices and practical strategies related to the promotion of social and emotional development in children, youth and adults.

Heart-Mind well-being is the term used by the Dalai Lama Center for Peace + Education (DLC) to refer to creating a balance between educating the mind and educating the heart.

Research shows that it is possible to foster positive human qualities such as compassion, confidence and kindness– and we can help children manage difficult emotions such as fear, anger and anxiety. We can successfully create conditions in homes, schools and communities that build capacity in children to recognize their emotions, to understand and empathize with others, to behave in prosocial ways, and to make constructive choices.

In this Heart-Mind workshop we explore the Heart-Mind Well-Being framework that graphically defines what the DLC means by the term ‘Heart-Mind well-being'. You will learn about how each of the five qualities develops in children, and how you can influence their positive development.
