Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Noah Tysick works as the Department Chair of Composition for one of America's largest online universities. Tysick has taught developmental English, composition, and creative writing at several on ground colleges and universities.  He holds a B.A. in English and Fine Art from Saginaw Valley State University and a M.A. in Literary Theory from Central Michigan University.  He is the author of Miss American Pie and Other Lies, Empty Day: Collected Poems, Soothsayer and contributing author/co-editor of The KU Handbook for Writers.  Tysick is an ordained, interfaith minister with a particular affinity for Tibetan and Pure Land Buddhism.
