SIETAR Congress 2014 -"Shaping Identity: Land, People, Systems"

The SIETAR Congress 2014 will be co-hosted by Young SIETAR and SIETAR BC this June, 2014. Nestled in Vancouver and Sts’ailes First Nation in the Fraser Valley, the theme, “Shaping Identity: Land, People, Systems” will call on participants to actively explore identity and how the land, people, and systems shape that identity. Many voices, such as Indigenous, immigrant, and international, will be included, both as presenters and as participants, allowing for rich dialogue. Using the locality of Vancouver & Sts’ailes as a starting point, we will expand the dialogue from the local to the global and share points of connection, as well as divergence.
