Paul Ekman "Darwin, the Dalai Lama and the nature of compassion"
On Thursday, March 11, the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education hosted one of the most influential psychologists of the 20th century for a special Speaker Series event.
Dr Paul Ekman gave a talk entitled “Darwin, the Dalai Lama and the nature of compassion”, which looked at the connection between an evolutionary and a Buddhist view of human nature and provided a new formulation of the nature of empathy, compassion, altruism and heroism.
