With Spring fast approaching we are delighted to announce we will be hosting three different Heart-Mind Well-Being Workshops over the next couple of months at the Dalai Lama Center in downtown Vancouver.
Join us in our Heart-Mind Workshops where we share current research, scientific knowledge, best practices and practical strategies related to the promotion of social and emotional development in children, youth and adults.
1.Heart-Mind Well-Being: A Focus on Adolescence Workshop
on April 10th, will explore ways to help teenagers feel secure and calm in their lives, approach situations with curiosity and confidence, solve problems peacefully, get along with others and to be compassionate and kind.
2.Heart-Mind Well-Being: Secure and Calm Workshop
on April 24th, focuses on tools that can be used to help children develop skills and strategies for self-regulation. This workshop is designed as an advanced level workshop that seeks to deepen participant understanding of Heart-Mind Well-Being (HMWB), and provide practical tools for fostering HMWB in practice.
3.Heart-Mind Well-Being: Caring for You Workshop
on May 29th, focuses on deepens your understanding of evidence informed ways to strengthen your own Heart-Mind well-being and that of the adults, youth and children in your life. Through the exploration of self-care strategies that include breathing exercises, mindfulness practice, and stress management techniques, you will have an opportunity for self reflection and to identify ways of integrating Heart-Mind well-being in to their lives.
