Khangsar heads a successful Executive Growth Advisory practice, where he has guided leaders and companies to scale effectively in sectors such as technology, healthcare, energy and resources, finance, real estate and travel. His expertise has been instrumental in fostering growth and innovation.
As an investor and former Executive Vice President at a global leading plant-based pet wellness brand, he has demonstrated a keen eye for market trends and business development. His role as Managing Director and Executive Vice President at a boutique investment bank highlighted his prowess in bridging Canadian and Asian markets, particularly in the energy and resources sectors.
Khangsar's government experience is equally notable. As Chief of Staff and senior political advisor to the Minister of Industry, he played a crucial role in reviewing foreign investments in Canada. Additionally, he served the President of the Treasury Board, overseeing IT, spending, regulations and human resources across the Canadian government. His strategic policy and communication skills were honed further in the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Immigration, where he engaged multicultural communities and ethnic media, earning recognition as one of the top 60 influencers in Canadian foreign policy.
Before his foray into government, he spent a decade in the television and telecommunications sector. He co-founded a technology company that successfully raised over $10 million in venture capital, employed more than 60 people and secured leading broadcasters and telecommunications firms as clients. His strategic initiatives throughout Asia, particularly in China, South Korea and India, and participation in Canadian trade missions, underscore his global business acumen. Tenzin also has a background as a sports broadcaster at CBC-TV.
Khangsar's academic foundation is rooted in the McGill School of Management. His commitment to public service was evident when he ran as a candidate for federal Member of Parliament in Montreal during the 2006 elections. His achievements have been recognized with the prestigious Queen’s Diamond Jubilee award.
