As the longtime coach of the local high school football team, Ed Thomas knew how important football was to the community and he went straight to work on repairing the field that was lost in the storm. The Dalai Lama returns to Canada this fall. From October 22 to 25, His Holiness will be in Toronto for a series of public talks put on by the Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre. It will be his first visit to Canada since his three-city tour last fall that included the 2009 Vancouver Peace Summit. more
