The Center currently receives no government funding and, as such, gratefully receives donations from the local and global community to support its mission and its annual budget for 2009-10 of approximately $2 million (CDN). The DLC also negotiates corporate sponsorships, which offer the Center the opportunity to engage and collaborate with socially responsible businesses to fulfill its mission and enable such businesses to obtain recognition and other promotional benefits.
Current sources of financial support include individual donors, program and event fees and ticket revenue, foundation grants and corporate sponsorships.
The Center gratefully acknowledges the donors, funders and sponsors who have supported the Center since its inception in 2005, including support for the Vancouver Peace Summit - September 2009. With permission, a full listing of donors will be posted on our website at the end of 2009.

The Dalai Lama is universally recognized as a symbol of peace. He is among a handful of living persons who command the respect, admiration and attention of many. His prestige is not based on worldly power but on his legendary warmth, integrity and compassion for all.
The Dalai Lama Center offers an unparalleled opportunity to transform the Dalai Lama’s values into a resource for the whole world. And Vancouver is blessed that the Dalai Lama has graciously offered his name and time to this one-of-a-kind institution. Such opportunities do not come along often.
Your help is much needed. The Center is an ambitious and complex project. Achieving its goals depend on the goodwill, energy and financial support of concerned individuals and organizations. Donate now.
