We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming generosity of our volunteers, who have donated their time and have provided invaluable expertise at our recent events, including the 2006 & 2009 Peace Summits with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and our Speakers’ Series.  We continue to receive generous offers of help for which we are most grateful!

A number of programs at the Center are in development; consequently, our volunteer needs at this time are still limited.  As programs continue to expand and grow, we expect to be able to capitalize on people’s enthusiasm and interest better.

Volunteer Coordinator

Do you enjoy working with people? Are you interested in putting compassion into action? 
 
The Dalai Lama Center is at the very heart of the social and emotional learning movement, and we are looking for an enthusiastic person to coordinate and implement the Volunteer Program for the DLC. The position will involve recruiting, screening, placing, supporting, training, evaluating and recognizing volunteers in keeping with the DLC policies and procedures. Video Editor

Do you have a knack for video editing? Are you one of the millions of people who listen to the words of wisdom of the Dalai Lama every day? How would you like to join the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education as we try to educate the hearts of people around the world?

We need a passionate volunteer to select some of the many words of wisdom the Dalai Lama and his contemporaries have shared during their visits to Vancouver and turn them into short videos that we can share through our social media circle. 
 
With more than 50,000 people in that circle, your work will have a significant impact. (Read more)

Do you have a passion for storytelling? Do you like meeting new people and hearing their stories? The Dalai Lama Center is hoping you might be our “SEL journalist”.  

Social and emotional learning is growing and the Dalai Lama Center is at the very heart of this movement. We want to tell this story both here in Vancouver and around the world.

We want you to work with us to identify people and organizations who are leading the SEL movement and help us tell their story. We’re proud of the work that we’re doing in regards to SEL, and want to stay current with the important work that many others are doing. We want you to share these stories to our online audience.
