Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) is an eight-week program designed to develop the qualities of compassion, empathy, and kindness for oneself and for others. CCT integrates traditional contemplative practices with contemporary psychology and scientific research on compassion. more

The Dalai Lama Center facilitated a symposium at Mt. Pleasant Neighbourhood House with 19 community groups from across Vancouver about Heart-Mind well-being community projects. Each group had received funding from Windows of Opportunity, Success by 6, and the Province of BC to launch community-based programs for early childhood caregivers and parents focussed on promoting Heart-Mind well-being. The symposium was designed to guide and support project development, provide research to support implementation, and ensure each program achieves the desired outcomes. more

The Dalai Lama Center was honoured to welcome back to Vancouver Dr. Peter Senge, a senior lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and author of the seminal organizational management book, The Fifth Discipline. Dr. Senge was a panelist in dialogue with the Dalai Lama at the Heart-Mind Summit in Vancouver in October, 2014, and also moderated the DLC's Business Leaders Roundtable.
